Jan Tschichold
Jan Tschichold was a calligrapher, typographer and book designer. He played a significant role in the development of graphic design in the 20th century – first, by developing and promoting principles of typographic modernism, and subsequently idealizing conservative typographic structures.

Inspiration
His work stands out from most, because of the delicate interplay of type and space. Almost like butterflies hovering over flowers, the work is well balanced and way ahead of its time. Jan, would break out of the conventional grid, and try something bold and exciting. I spent many hours, deliberating over his techniques. His vision to let the words be free adds weight to his amazing work.
