Newspaper 2018
By adamkhalifa in blog onI have been working on another newspaper for the past few days. This is a continuation from the previous Meridian publication.
This new edition will visually communicate Terror events in UK, after 9/11.
Unlike the 2001 edition, each period will have it own identity.
My thoughts are to complete and get the files, print ready by the end of next week.

By adamkhalifa in blog onThe newspaper came through today. I am extremely pleased with the finish.
The professional suppliers have helped bring this project alive. They provided me with 1 extra print, which was a surprise.
The setup and formatting took an eternity, but the outcome was worthwhile.
I am now working on the next project ‘Behind the Veil’.

The Meridian newspaper will be print ready later this week. I needed to adjust and fit to the new dimensions.
It is smaller than the sample print run. It took me much longer than anticipated.Inspiration
My mind is getting flooded with new ideas and concept recently.
I am writing these down, so it does not get lost somewhere within my head.Take a look at this video. I love it.

By adamkhalifa in blog onI am finding it difficult to get into a working pattern. I lack the thirst and hunger I had before the break. When I feel like this, I try to setup a plan and hit 2 or 3 goals a day. That way I am not falling behind and I work towards, getting my sharpness back.
Print
I am setting up the Meridian Newspaper for print this week. The file’s need to be converted and updated to fit the new format. Truth be told, I do not really like doing the artwork setup. I find the process mundane, but I understand its importance.I have sourced the supplier, and found a way of producing smaller runs.

By adamkhalifa in blog onI am finding it difficult to get back into the flow of work life balance. My body seems to be in limp mode, so I am using coffee to carry me through the day.
We returned last week after a 10 day break in Saudi Arabia. The trip was near perfect, apart from a Sandstorm which gave us a fright. We were traveling in a SUV from Madinah to Makkah, the air conditioning unit stopped working, we had a crack in the windscreen. To be open to the mid afternoon desert elements was very scary. The last few hours traveling, seemed to be the longest I have ever experienced.
When the driver says, it is the worst he had experienced in 20 years, then you know you have encountered an event worth talking about.
